Pakistan's Supreme Court has barred the former envoy to Washington from leaving the country while he is investigated over claims that he sought US help in May to prevent a coup.
Husain Haqqani was forced to resign after he was alleged to have sent a request for help to the then-chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen. Mr Haqqani denies the allegations.
