A suicide bomber in the Pakistani city of Quetta accidentally detonated his explosive device yesterday on his way to attack a mosque belonging to the country's Shia minority.
The bomber died when his explosive-laden vest was prematurely activated as he travelled to his target. Anti-Shia attacks have grown in Pakistan in recent years, with al-Qa'ida-linked Sunni militant groups organising frequent bombings and shootings against religious minorities.
