Thai authorities have seized two tonnes of elephant tusks from Africa, hidden in a shipping container – the country's largest ivory seizure.
Customs officials said yesterday the haul of 247 tusks, some 2m long, was valued at 100m baht (£2m).
Investigators found the tusks stashed behind 800 boxes in a shipment labelled as frozen mackerel at a Bangkok port last week.
