Baghdad talks
Baghdad (AFP) - Iraq and the United Nations began talks on long-term monitoring of Iraq's weapons arsenal, which the official press here hoped would lead to the lifting of the UN embargo imposed after the Gulf war. Rolf Ekeus, head of the UN special commission for disarming Iraq, met the Deputy Prime Minister, Tareq Aziz, and other officials.
