Sanaa - Oman told the Yemeni government yesterday that the fugitive leader of the defeated breakaway south, Ali Salem al-Baidh, will give up politics. Mr Baidh escaped to Oman when the secessionist cause collapsed last week at the end of a two- month civil war. Reuter
