Baku awaits Armenian move

BAKU (AFP) - Armenian forces will launch a heavy offensive against Azerbaijan today, the Azeri government said, claiming that troop movements had been observed in a number of Azeri regions.

Azerbaijan, quoting 'reliable information', said the Armenian offensive would signal a large-scale conflict with Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani forces have recently won several battles against the Armenians both in Nagorny Karabakh and in the northern region along their joint border.
