BAKU - A remote-controlled bomb exploded in a crowded Baku underground railway station yesterday, killing 12 people and injuring 53. The National Security Ministry called it an act of terrorism. The device exploded in the 20 January Station as a train arrived. Azerbaijan, which has been fighting a six-year war with Armenia over the enclave of Nagorny Karabakh, is riven by internal political strife. AP
