Bandits shoot boy

Messina - A seven-year-old American boy was in a coma after being shot in the head by bandits trying to hold up his parents' car in southern Italy. Nicholas Green was asleep beside his 10-year-old sister on the back seat on Thursday night when armed and masked bandits pulled up beside the hired vehicle and opened fire. The attack took place on one of southern Italy's most dangerous stretches of highway, in the southern mainland Calabria region. It is frequently the scene of highway robberies.
