COMALAPA, EL SALVADOR (AFP) - The army at the weekend finished demobilising one of five US-trained counterinsurgency battalions accused of human rights abuses. The disarming of the Bracamonte Battalion was conducted in compliance with a UN-brokered peace accord signed in January with leftist rebels.
