Authorities in Tehran said they had arrested a woman who was carrying a bomb that was intended to go off in the shrine of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, writes Safa Haeri.

The golden-domed mausoleum is in the huge Behesht Zahra cemetery, near the capital. The authorities said the 2.5kg bomb was 'discovered and defused' before reaching the shrine.
