Sarajevo - The United Nations and the Bosnian government have agreed that 500 Bosnian troops will start to withdraw from a demilitarised zone near Sarajevo from noon tomorrow, officials said yesterday.
UN and Bosnian military chiefs also agreed to meet today to discuss improving security on the main land route leading into Sarajevo - a road which has been under fire from Bosnian Serb artillery.
Bosnian government sources said that unless progress was made in improving security on the Sarajevo access road, which runs over strategic Mount Igman, then the troop withdrawal would not go ahead. Reuter
