British MPs visit Iraqi marshes

Two British Labour MPs found all quiet on an Iraqi-organised trip to the southern marshlands, where the West accuses Baghdad of trying to wipe out Shia rebels, Reuter reports from al-Shuweij. Villagers told Tam Dalyell and George Galloway on a fact-finding mission at the weekend that the marshes were calm.
