A British businessman was found dead in an apartment fire in Moscow yesterday, a Russian news agency reported.

The Interfax news agency said the body of a man identified as Alexander Mackintosh, 47, was found in a room in a burning apartment building. Authorities said the fire was caused by arson, according to Interfax. Mr Mackintosh had lived in Moscow since October 1996.
