The United Nations investigator into human rights abuses in Burma has accused the Burmese army of committing atrocities on a wide scale, AP reports from Geneva. Yozo Yokota said in a report to the UN Human Rights Commission that he received 'extensive allegations' that torture, rape and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment was being used.
