The actor Tony Curtis was resting after undergoing heart bypass surgery, Reuter reports from Los Angeles.

Curtis, 68, had gone to hospital for a routine checkup on Monday. Doctors discovered heart valve blockage and decided to operate straight away. 'He's doing very well. He just flew right through it - about a three- hour surgery,' a hospital spokesman said.
