MADRID: Colombia's incoming President, Ernesto Samper, said that allegations that his campaign was bankrolled by the Cali drug cartel were the underworld's attempt to sabotage his government. Mr Samper, on a visit to Spain, said that drug traffickers faked two audiotapes that purportedly reveal cartel leaders talking about their contributions to his campaign and their hopes that Mr Samper would respond in kind.
