Cambodia hostages fall ill
Phnom Penh - Christopher Howes, 36, a British land-mine removal expert, and his Cambodian interpreter, seized almost a month ago by suspected Khmer Rouge guerrillas, are believed to be suffering from malaria. The government's regional commander, Major General Khan Savoeun, said messengers sent to act as go-betweens had reported the hostages were ill. AP
