Kim Campbell, the former Canadian prime minister who led the Conservatives to a crushing election defeat in October, will soon resign as leader of her party, Conservative officials said yesterday, Reuter reports from Ottawa. They said the party, reduced to two MPs, could not raise funds to pay off campaign debts and rebuild its ranks while Ms Campbell continued as leader.
