Three people were injured when a car bomb exploded in a Baghdad market-place yesterday, Reuter reports from Nicosia. Iraqi radio, monitored by the BBC, said the mid- evening blast destroyed six cars and shattered the windows of nearby shops and restaurants. The authorities had started an investigation to find out who was responsible for 'this heinous crime', the radio said.
