Under intense pressure to explain how 24 Taiwanese tourists and eight crewmen died in a boat fire, China announced yesterday the arrest of three men suspected of robbing and murdering them, AP reports from Peking. The incident occurred on 31 March, on Qiandao Lake in Zhejiang province, eastern China, and Peking had initially described the fire as an accident.
