China renewed its vow to reverse any election reforms that Hong Kong's British colonial government implemented without Chinese approval, AP reports from Peking. China rejected as 'absolutely unacceptable' the plan by the Hong Kong Governor, Chris Patten, for limited election reform to the colony's legislature. China said it would break off the talks if Mr Patten put his reforms to the legislature.
