China's Premier, Li Peng, has cancelled a five-nation trip scheduled to begin this week because he has pneumonia, Reuter reports from Peking.

Mr Li was originally scheduled to travel to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia from April 28 to May 9.
