Sao Paulo (Reuter) - Three- quarters of Brazilians want President Fernando Collor de Mello removed from office because of claims that he profited from a corruption scheme, the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper reported yesterday.
It said a recent survey showed that 78 per cent of those asked also believed allegations that he was involved in an operation run by his former campaign treasurer, Paulo Cesar Farias, to sell favours, rig government bids and influence contracts.
