Colombia's top two presidential candidates searched for extra votes to clinch victory in a run-off election on 19 June after the country's closest election this century, AFP reports from Bogota. The Liberal Party contender, Ernesto Samper, and the Conservative Andres Pastrana each claimed victory after results put them just 18,700 votes apart.
