Kenya's charismatic elephant conservationist Richard Leakey faced mounting calls yesterday for his removal as wildlife director by officials who accuse him of discriminating against black Africans, AFP reports from Nairobi. The Local Government Minister, William ole Ntimama, has repeatedly accused him of discrimination and said this week: 'He thinks that a black man is synonymous with a poacher.'
