Anchorage - The world's most famous sled dog race, the Iditarod, began on Saturday amid confusion over a corpse found in the staging area. The normal frenzy that accompanies the start of the race was complicated by a police investigation into an unrelated fatal shooting that occurred a few hours before mushers and their dogs assembled in central Anchorage.
