India's Supreme Court suspended a court order which would have reinstated a state government headed by the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, Reuter reports from New Delhi.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court ruled on 2 April that the dismissal of the state government by the federal administration in December was illegal, but a Supreme Court bench suspended the reinstatement of the Madhya Pradesh state government and referred the dispute to a nine-judge bench.
