Demonstrators took to the sea and beach as Japan's prototype fast breeder reactor 'went critical' and began a self-sustaining nuclear reaction, Reuter reports from Tokyo. Several hundred protesters, including some on a Greenpeace boat, gathered near the reactor in Tsuruga, on the Japan Sea coast, saying the reactor was dangerous and expensive.
