Missiles blasted holes in a fuel tank in an attack on a depot in the eastern Cape province, AP reports from Johannesburg. The attack on the Engen fuel depot just outside the city of East London was apparently carried out by four men. A police colonel said two missiles, believed to be rockets or rifle grenades punctured the tank above the fuel level. Police forced a vehicle near the scene off the road and were fired at with automatic gunfire. The gunmen then escaped during a car chase.
