Emily's list has begun in the Netherlands. Unlike the US and British versions, however, it has nothing to do with raising funds to advance women in politics. Three Dutch businessmen are making contingency plans should the romance between the Dutch Crown Prince, Willem-Alexander, and Emily Bremers lead to marriage.

Ton Paauw, a greeting cards maker, and two business partners have bought the exclusive right to use the name ``Emily'' on a list of products, including cosmetics, handbags and calendars. "We know Emily might become the next queen,'' he said, so ``this will be a very good name for marketing products".

Ms Bremers, 24, has been dating Willem-Alexander, 27, for only a few months, and no engagement plans have been announced. Still, she has been a hit with the public and royal watchers consider the relationship serious. A law student at Leiden University, she is listed by the newspaper De Telegraaf as "smart, pretty, blonde, sporty, skinny and reportedly nice, too".
