The family of the fugitive Colombian drug baron Pablo Escobar, which flew to Frankfurt in search of a safe haven, will not be allowed to enter Germany, police said yesterday, Reuter reports from Frankfurt.
A police spokesman at Frankfurt airport said the family members would be sent back to Colombia. News reports in Colombia had said the German government was willing to protect Escobar's family on condition the drug lord surrendered, but this was never confirmed.
