PRAGUE (Reuter) - Czechs and Slovaks yesterday began the arduous task of dividing the Czechoslovak republic in two by the end of the year, after agreeing it was time to part in all spheres except for the country's currency, the crown.
The split after 1 January, 1993, will not affect the existence of a common currency, said Vaclav Klaus, the Czech Prime Minister and leader of the Civic Democratic Party.
