The Afghan President, Burhanuddin Rabbani, said yesterday that a multi-party ceasefire commission would soon start disarming mujahedin combatants for a permanent peace in Afghanistan, AFP reports from Islamabad. The commission would start work in the next 2-3 days, he said, emphasising that the move to collect all heavy weapons would end hostilities 'forever'.
