TIRANA (Reuter) - The government said yesterday it would compensate Albanians for price rises for basic consumer goods that are to take effect tomorrow. The compensation amounts to 280 leks ( pounds 1.50) per person a month and follows the liberalisation of most consumer prices in a bid to launch a free- market economy.
