Tirana (AP) - Albanians straggled to the polls in searing heat yesterday in the first free municipal elections since the Second World War. The Democratic Party, which won 65 per cent of the vote in national elections last March, was expected to win. Results may be announced today. Voters were electing a mayor in each of Albania's 35 cities or a head of community in rural areas, as well as local councillors.
