Several Dutch people, including a woman forced into prostitution, yesterday filed a damage suit against Japan, demanding dollars 22,000 (pounds 15,000) compensation each for alleged abuses during the Second World War, Reuter reports from Tokyo. The eight said they still suffered mental trauma from the torture, forced labour and other acts of brutality they underwent in Japanese concentration camps in Indonesia.
