An explosion shattered windows and destroyed an automatic teller machine at a bank in downtown Barcelona early Friday, slightly injuring three people, the Interior Ministry said.
Officials said they did not immediately who was behind the explosion at a branch of the Caixa bank, one of Catalonia's largest. The blast came at about 2 a.m. (0000 GMT) an injured three passers-by. Two were treated at the scene, and one was taken to a hospital for treatment then released.
Eta, the Basque separatist movement, are suspected of planting the bomb and tourists are warned to be vigilant.
