Border death-toll
BONN (AP) - Investigators suspect that at least 350 people - twice the number previously documented - died trying to escape from Communist East Germany. The actual number of border deaths could reach 400, said Manfred Kittlaus, the head of a special Berlin police unit that is investigating crimes by East Germany's former leaders.
