Artillery shells pounded Tajik border posts on the tense frontier with Afghanistan, wounding two Russian soldiers and raising fears of another big cross-border attack, AP reports from Dushanbe.
The Foreign Minister, Rashid Alimov, said Islamic militants were waging an 'undeclared war' on his country and on Russia, its ally. Four border posts in southern Tajikistan were shelled from Afghan territory on Tuesday night and early yesterday, officials said.
