A British woman was jailed for seven months by a judge in Amsterdam today for trafficking cocaine.
Rebecca Dolby, 22, of Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, was found guilty of smuggling 900g (2lb) of cocaine into the city's Schiphol airport in October.
A spokeswoman for the court in Haarlem, Amsterdam, said the judge gave Dolby a seven-month unconditional sentence.
In Amsterdam, sentences are either conditional or unconditional.
Conditional means early release is possible but unconditional means the defendant serves the whole sentence.
Dolby now has two weeks to appeal against the sentence, the spokeswoman said.
