Ten people were hospitalized in the town of Moutiers, 25 kilometers from the accident site.
Identities of the victims were not immediately available.
The bus, which was to travel overnight to Utrecht, was headed toward Moutiers when the accident occurred on a winding road leading from the ski stations.
The bus was carrying 48 tourists and six guides, local officals said.
It went off the road coming out of a tight turn, then rolled over into the ravine, falling some 30 meters, according to reports from the scene.
More than 90 firefighters and rescue workers raced to the scene of the accident, working to free passengers from the wreckage.
