Thousands of farm workers poured into this arid California farming town for the funeral yesterday of the labour leader, Cesar Chavez, who dedicated his life to improving the lot of migrant workers, Reuter reports from Delano, former headquarters of Chavez's United Farm Workers of America. He died in his sleep last week at the age of 66 in San Luis, Arizona, occupied up to the last minute with union business.
