Venice (Reuter) - An aide to the former Italian foreign minister, Gianni De Michelis, has been arrested in connection with an investigation into alleged corruption involving public works contracts. Giorgio Casadei, a secretary to Mr De Michelis in his Venetian power base, was one of five people charged with corruption and violating laws on financing political parties.
