Many will have accused the government of trying to ‘tear the clothes from their backs,’ but a Czech politician has taken idea to whole new level by getting naked for a campaign video.

Chilling music plays as Ester Kaplankova, a liberal politician, has items of clothes removed until she is left with just a newspaper covering her breasts.

The video is reportedly a protest against high taxes being implemented by the Czech Social Democratic Party and their leader Bohuslav Sobotka.

The tone then completely shifts in the second half of the advert as the music goes from a horror film soundtrack to a rather relaxing, slightly jazzy guitar line.

The politician is now covered in The Party of Free Citizens in the Czech Republic party’s flag, her party, sporting a big grin.

Call it over-analysis, but she might just be suggesting that her party wants to help to protect the Czech public.

The advert has certainly garnered a great deal of publicity for the party; however some are not so enamoured with Mrs Kaplankova’s methods.

Her party leader, Petr Mach, was apparently furious after the video went viral when Kaplankova uploaded the video to her Facebook page, and demanded for it to be removed.

He said: “We asked Mrs Kaplankova to delete the video or to publish it without our official graphics and logo. Somebody could say it was too much.”

Now we can just hope and pray that Cameron and Milliband don’t take any inspiration from the video…
