BUDAPEST (Reuter) - Leaders of Hungary and Slovakia should meet under European Community auspices to resolve a dispute over a big hydroelectric project on their border, an EC official said.
Pablo Benavides, a director of the EC Commission charged with a good-offices mission to investigate the row over the Gabcikovo-Nagymaros twin- dam system on the river Danube, said further work was needed to bring the two positions closer.
