The most important Aborigine summit ever held delivered a powerful slap in the face to the Australian government, voting to reject its proposed land reforms dealing with mining rights, AFP reports from Manyallaluk.
More than 400 elders and community leaders from all over Australia had gathered at Manyallaluk, or 'Place of the Frog Dreaming', to consider a unified response to what they see as the most important issue since the arrival of the white man.
