More than three out of every four Israelis want to see John Demjanjuk prosecuted for war crimes at Sobibor death camp, following his acquittal as 'Ivan the Terrible', according to a Gallup poll, AFP reports from Jerusalem.
Mr Demjanjuk was aquitted on appeal on 29 July of being the Treblinka gas-chamber operator and ordered expelled after five years on death row. But the Supreme Court agreed to hear petitions from Holocaust survivors to have him retried for his role as a Nazi SS auxiliary guard at Sobibor.
