The Royal Danish Air Force have released a video of an exercise involving an F-16 Fighting Falcon jet shooting down a remote Banshee 600 drone using guided missiles. Watch the incredible footage below.

The F-16 has been around since the late 1970s but as the video shows above it can still deliver an effective blow.

The Banshee 600 is made by the United Kingdom’s Meggitt Defence Systems and is described as the “industry standard in affordable aerial targetry for surface-to-air and air-to-air weapons systems”.

With the proliferation of drones worldwide perhaps we’ll be seeing a lot more of these videos in the coming months and years.
