Dutch police arrest Frenchman suspected of 'planning terror attack’
The suspect is expected to be extradited to France
A Frenchman, suspected of “involvement in planning a terror attack”, has been arrested by Dutch police, prosecutors in The Netherlands have said.
The 32-year-old, whose identity has not been released, was arrested at the request of French authorities in the port city of Rotterdam.
In a statement on Sunday, prosecutors said French officials requested the arrest on Friday after the suspect emerged during an investigation.
The suspect is expected to be extradited to France in the immediate future.
Three other people have been detained. Two are understood to have Algerian backgrounds, while a third man's identity could not immediately be established.
