Egypt's Prime Minister, Atef Sedki, narrowly escaped a car-bomb blast near his home yesterday, but the attack killed a 15-year-old schoolgirl, AFP reports from Cairo. Police said 12 people were wounded in the attack, which Mr Sedki survived unscathed. The Islamic group al-Jihad claimed responsibility.
